Amanda and Clark were married on a dark and rainy January day. The mood was perfect to huddle all their friends and family inside the rustic SoDo Park, downtown, for the ceremony and reception. So much attention was given to every single detail, making it a warm, inviting, and luxurious wedding to attend. From delicious food to gorgeous flowers and lighting, great music, and not only a cake but also separate candy and dessert bars… everything was just so gorgeous.

But, nothing was as stunning as our bride and groom. Their love lit up this wintery evening, keeping all warm and having fun all night long.

Enjoy a few of our photos :)

When they were just teenagers, Dina and Chris met at a Greek camp in Greece. Years passed, and their cultures brought them together once again at – you guessed it – a Greek function :) And this time they never parted.

The union of these two Greek families made for one of the most fun weddings we have ever had the pleasure of attending. The family members were all so excited for the happy couple, and everyone who attended was ready to celebrate.

On their wedding day, Dina and Chris saw each other for the first time on the balcony of Broadmoor Golf Club, and their excitement was so contagious. Chris was so taken aback by the site of his gorgeous bride that he picked her up and spun her around. The two were glowing with love and their excitement was felt by everybody there.

After a traditional Greek Orthodox ceremony at St. Demetrios, everyone headed to Broadmoor Golf Club for some dancing, drinking, dancing, drinking, dancing and more drinking, and a bit of eating. Dick’s cheeseburgers arrived for everyone just in time later in the evening…

Our darling couple for this Hotel 1000 wedding lives in Boston, which means all of our communication prior to the big event was over phone and email. I knew from my first conversation with Carrie that I liked her, and that Jake and I would just have to shoot their wedding.

We finally met Carrie and Shane in person just three days before the big event, and with the timeline that Shannon (her planner) had helped us put together, everything was set. This turned out to be one gorgeous wedding, with every little detail so well thought out. From the Seattle-bound photo schedule, to the cocktail hour, to dinner and dancing and the oh-so-delicious looking dessert bar, Shannon and her assistant from Sublime Wedding and Event Planning took care of all the details and the entire event flowed without a hitch. Aria Style and Bella Rugosa made things so very pretty with beautiful flowers in yellows and whites, and gorgeous lounge decor to set the mood for dancing. DJ Brian Waltz made it a party for everyone there, knowing exactly what hits to play, and even adding to the ambiance with his lighting set up.

Carrie and Shane, we had so much fun with you, your family, your wedding party… everything about this day just went so right. You make such a stunning couple, and we wish you a wonderful future together!

Check out a few shots from the day below :)

Rachel and Ben are our kind of couple. They chose their wedding venue (The Engine Room at Georgetown Studios) with their photo shoot in mind, wanting a unique and artful look for their images. We worked together on the itinerary to schedule plenty of time in their day to allow for photos, and they prepared for the rain that was forecasted at 90% just days before the wedding.

And while arranging for umbrellas and working with us on timing does help for a great photo shoot, I also have to give so much credit to the happy couple. By allowing themselves to truly be in the moment, to have fun with each other, to laugh off the rain and to just be in love while we photographed them made all the difference in the world. They did it for their engagement shoot, and pulled it off again on their wedding day. You being YOU makes the best photos you could have :) Rachel and Ben, thank you so much for letting your guard down and allowing us in to capture the beautiful love you share.

Using a vibrant and modern color theme of apple green and magentas, their details were some of the favorite I have seen this year. Please enjoy a few of my favorite shots from their day!

Emilee and Dan were married on one of the most gorgeous days this Fall at the Woodmark. The sun shone brightly, the air was perfectly crisp, and this Bride and Groom were just so, so excited to be getting married.

Add to that- families who traveled from out-of-state and a fabulous wedding planner, and you’re set for a one fabulous party. A color palette of sunset oranges and coffee browns were just the right touch to this oh-so-perfect day.

Things we love about Emilee and Dan:

  1. They showed us a thing or two about the art of “smizing” (smiling with your eyes!)
  2. They both work in the medical field, they’re super smart.
  3. They planned a Fall wedding. Nothing is more gorgeous than Seattle in the Fall :)
  4. They hired a fabulous wedding planner to coordinate their event. Katy, we love you.
  5. They have an adorable dog named Joey :)
  6. Their families are some of the nicest people we’ve ever met.
  7. They’re as beautiful inside as they are outside.

Emilee and Dan, it was such a pleasure photographing your gorgeous wedding… you two are just so much fun to be around. We have truly loved getting to know you over this past year, and we wish you the brightest of futures, wherever yours may lead you :)

Addie and Matt planned a beautiful September wedding at Camp Korey in Carnation. The day started off very warm and very humid, and in true Seattle fashion, the clouds gathered and rain started to fall just moments before guests were to be seated for the outdoor ceremony. The rose garden was so beautiful, and the Addie and Matt decided to just roll with it and exchange vows under the raindrops anyway. The mood was excited (nothing bonds guests together like huddling beneath big umbrellas!) and Adddie’s brother performed a ceremony that was so touching and personal. There was as much laughter as there were tears of joy.

Having their first look earlier in the day allowed us time to shoot around the grounds while the sun was out, so things couldn’t have worked out more perfectly. And, while the details for this wedding were soooo elegantly planned and executed, nothing is more stunning to me than a bride and groom so very much in love.

So, please enjoy a few images of the happy couple’s day below :)

Devon and Logan had a beautiful outdoor wedding & reception towards the end of Summer this year. It was one of those days that was blue skies and stormy clouds all at the same time, and we never knew if it was going to be warm or rainy. Wedding luck was on our side and we were fortunate that the sky remained dry for the whole celebration. It was an intimate gathering, which allowed for lots of photographs of everyone. Tons of dancing, lots of food and wine… everyone just seemed to be having so much fun. A perfect wedding by any means… Enjoy a few images from their day :)

Susie and Casey were married outdoors on probably the hottest, most humid day of this Summer, but you’d never know it by looking at the photos. There was so much joy and happiness this day that even 100+ heat couldn’t slow anyone down.

Bright yellows and greens adorned everything from the flowers to the bridesmaids dresses to even the Groom’s shoes. Both Susie and Casey are school teachers, and thus was the theme of their wedding. School buses transported guests to the bride’s parent’s home for the ceremony, and then out to the Indian Summer Golf & Country Club for cocktails and reception. Chalkboards told the guests which tables were theirs, and Susie’s grade-school class even wrote them a book about “Love Is.”

Bridesmaids, Groomsmen, and Parents gave some of the sweetest toasts we’ve ever heard… I don’t think there was a dry eye in the house… and what better way to get out of that sappy, emotional state than some dancing? Complete with a dance contest and crown and trophy awards, Eastern Washington battled Western Washington on the dance floor, and it – was – hilarious.

Enjoy a taste of Susie and Casey’s wedding below :)

On a cold, rainy day this Fall, Jake and I had the opportunity to cozy up with Keri and Drew at the Columbia Winery in Woodinville for their engagement shoot. Busy with life and moving and planning a wedding all the way in Chicago, their engagement shoot was a perfect opportunity to get away, relive their love story, sip some wine, and just be in love :)

I love Keri’s reaction as Drew retells the story of how he proposed to her on a trip to Cali…

If ever I knew two peas in a pod, it would be our friends Liz and Jeff. They may appear young and modern, but if you ever have the chance to spend 5 minutes with them, you’ll find their relationship runs more like that of a couple of grumpy 90-year-olds. They bicker. They butt heads. They act irritable. Eyes roll. But then they laugh… they kiss… they make up from a fight that never actually was a fight. They’re hilarious and charming and they just can’t even help it :) We shot their wedding last year, and Jake and I were honored to get to photograph the whole “family” this Fall. So enjoy a few shots of Liz and Jeff, and their two kids. Tank and Loki.
